The troubled actress pled no contest to misdemeanour charges of reckless driving, lying to authorities and obstructing police from performing their duties in court Monday. The charges related to a car crash in Santa Monica in June 2012 and the star was ordered to spend 90 days in a locked-down treatment facility.
Lindsay's rehab stint starts on May 2 and the 26-year-old star has allegedly planned to spend time with Charlie beforehand.
“Lindsay’s pre-rehab plan? A week with Charlie Sheen in LA, then she wants to go to Brazil. I kid you not," a source told the New York Post.
It's also thought that the actress will shoot her guest appearance for Charlie's TV series Anger Management before she checks in.
“He’s a therapist, and she’ll play a patient who falls in love with him,” Lindsay’s lawyer Mark Heller told Page Six.
Her Brazil plans weren't confirmed however.
Charlie, 47, handed Lindsay a $100,000 cheque to help pay her outstanding tax bill last year. However, sources have previously revealed the actor has no ulterior motive for helping the star.
“Charlie isn’t romantically interested in Lindsay at all and has no desire to hook up with her. There is no romantic interest at all - she isn’t even his type and the last thing Charlie needs is more drama in his life!" an insider revealed last month.
“He simply feels bad for her and tries to help her out when possible.”
The pair struck up a friendship when they filmed scenes for Scary Movie 5 last year.
