Johnny Depp has a tattoo of a quote from this book which reads “Silence, Exile, Cunning” an abbreviation of the original quote “I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defence the only arms I allow myself to use – silence, exile, and cunning”

Johnny Depp, who recently lent his voice to an episode of Spongebob Squarepants, is currently working on the new film The Rum Diary which is currently in production in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. During one of his breaks, Johnny was spied with a new tattoo on his forearm which looks like it reads Silence Exile Cunning …

… or something like that. It’s unclear to me if the tattoo is real or just a fake one for the film. Also, the last word is not very clear … it’s hard to make out. Any ideas what this new tattoo could mean?
